Chef-Prepared Food Experience
Sip & Serenade features a thoughtfully curated food experience designed to feel abundant, elevated, and social.
Guests will enjoy chef-prepared small plates and tapas, served through a combination of beautifully arranged buffet offerings and passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening. This approach allows guests to eat at their own pace while mingling, listening to music, and dancing.
The menu is intentionally more substantial than light appetizers, yet more relaxed than a formal plated dinner—creating a comfortable, flowing experience that complements the energy of the night. A delicious display of sweet treats and desserts will be available to close out the evening.
Food will be available and refreshed throughout the event to ensure everyone has plenty to enjoy.

Live Music That’s the Heart of the Night
The evening features a live performance by Mark Anthony, a dynamic singer and guitarist known for delivering a true show—not just background music.
Mark blends guitar and vocals with harmonica, harmony pedals, loop pedals, and light percussion to create a rich, layered sound. His performance moves seamlessly between upbeat, feel-good favorites and softer, love-inspired songs, featuring well-known covers you’ll recognize, sing along to, and dance to throughout the night.
This is an interactive performance designed to engage the crowd. Mark was intentionally selected because he performs for the audience—creating energy, connection, and moments that make the music a central part of the experience.
Meet the Artist: Mark Anthony
Mark Anthony has been playing music professionally for over 40 years, first performing while attending college on a music scholarship, where he played his way through school. While his primary career was in medicine as a chiropractic doctor, music remained a constant passion—something he continued alongside his practice for decades.
Now retired from medicine, Mark performs full-time, driven purely by his love for entertaining and connecting with an audience. A longtime staple of the Hilton Head music scene, he’s known for his ability to 1 engage a crowd, create energy, and turn live music into a shared experience rather than background sound.
We’re excited to bring Mark to Midway for this special Valentine’s night at The Retreat at Marsh Manor, where his experience, heart for entertaining, and dynamic style are the perfect fit for an intimate, music-forward evening.

What Makes This Night Special
Sip & Serenade is not a large, crowded concert or a sit-and-listen dinner. Capacity is intentionally limited to keep the evening comfortable, intimate, and fun—with room to move, dance, and fully enjoy the music.
The experience takes place indoors, in a warm, candlelit setting designed to feel welcoming and special. Expect glowing candlelight throughout, a fire burning in the fireplace, and thoughtful details that set the tone for a relaxed yet elevated night out.
Weather permitting, guests are invited to step outside onto the deck overlooking the river, where an outdoor fire table and heaters create a cozy place to gather, sip a drink, and enjoy the night air. An additional outdoor fire pit will also be available for guests who want to linger, connect, and enjoy the evening at their own pace.
Sip & Serenade is festive and elevated, but never stuffy. Guests are encouraged to dress anywhere from dressy casual to full evening attire. Last year, some guests arrived in suits, tuxes, and gowns, while others opted for red or pink tops paired with jeans—all were perfectly at home. The goal is simply to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to enjoy a beautiful night out.
Every detail is intentionally curated to create a shared experience that feels elevated but easy, lively but personal—filled with romantic moments, great food, and live music woven naturally into the evening.

Sip & Serenade is a private, ticketed event and is only open to guests who purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are sold for the event experience, including live music and food. Any beverages provided during the event are complimentary and included as part of the experience.
Payments for the tickets are non-refundable as they secure a dedicated time slot on our calendar. While tickets are non-refundable, they are fully transferable should you find that you are no longer able to attend. By booking, you acknowledge that all sales are final.
